The Dismiss South formulation is for warm season turf where purple nutsedge is a problem.

It may be applied in established turf areas including commercial, residential, athletic fields, institutional lawns, golf course roughs and fairways, and commercial sod farms

As a post-emergent, selective herbicide, it combines two active ingredients, Sulfentrazone - 33.33%, Imazethapyr - 6.67%.

Use between 9.5 to 14.4 fluid ounces per acre (minimum of 10 gallons of spray solution per acre for right-of-ways, fence rows, roadsides and 20-175 gallons per acre on turf ). For best results apply Dismiss South in late summer, fall or early spring, making sure the soil is moist. Use the higher rates to extend length of control or on sites with fine soil textures or sites with more than 2% organic matter.

How Dismiss South Works
Dismiss South works by an uptake of the roots and shoots of the weeds. It does require the soil to be moist for activation. A surfactant or adjuvant is not recommended due to any discoloration with the high heat or relative humidity.

Unmatched Speed of Control-Fast visible results in a few days.
Tuber reduction via soil activity of sulfentrazone
Results are supported by university data

* Note: Using a surfactant with Dismiss South can cause discoloration or damage to sensitive grasses. For this reason we don't recommend adding a surfactant to your mixture.
