At a recent sidewalk sale, we blew up close to 60 yellow balloons. As I'm sure you can imagine, we attracted more than customers... the wasps came shopping too! We swatted, we waved our arms, we ran for your Waspinator. It was quickly installed in a tree, and in less than 20 minutes, we were free of wasps. Wow! What a product. Thank you for making summer much more fun. We can all enjoy outdoor dining in relaxed comfort." —Virginia Parkhurst

How it works "Yellowjackets are very "visual" insects. They depend on a keen sense of sight to catch moving prey. Predatory Insects, like many wasps and all yellowjackets, have large, prominent compound eyes. Other insects that hunt live prey also have very large compound eyes (for example, praying mantids, syrphid flies and horse flies). Highly visual insects tend to respond to their environment based on visual stimuli. Thus an artificial nest like The Original Waspinator may be perceived as a competitor and be avoided."

Information about yellowjacket biology
"Over the years I have tried virtually every wasp deterrent available with limited success at best. This year I discovered The Waspinator and much to my pleasure and amazement, we have regained the use of our sundecks for relaxing BBQs. I simply hung one on each of the three decks and the results were effective and immediate. Prior to this, I couldn't sit outside with a snack without running for cover in seconds. Being in the agricultural profession, I often get calls on pest management of all varieties. When it comes to wasps, I can now guide them to a solution that I have personally tested and can confidently recommend."
