Phantom is an indoor/outdoor termiticide and insecticide that kills termites, ants, cockroaches, and now bed bugs, through a powerful non-repellent active ingredient. Pests can't even detect Phantom, so they walk right over it and then spread it to other insects hidden behind walls or in their home colony, killing every other pest they come in contact with. Phantom is virtually odorless, clear in color and provides superior pest control with a long-lasting residual.

Active Ingredient: 21.45% Chlorfenapyr
Target pests: Termites, cockroaches, ants, bed bugs and more (see product label for complete list)
For use in: indoors (crack and crevice only) and outdoors around the perimeter.
Application: 21 oz bottle makes 28 gallons of 1.25% solution for termites or 7 gallons (mix 3 fl oz. per gallon of water) for general pest control including bed bugs, roaches and ants.
NOT FOR SALE TO: AK, CT, NY, MA, SC, CA

Phantom is a Termiticide and insecticide labeled for indoor (follow the label carefully) as well as outdoor use. It combines nonrepellency, superior control, long-lasting effects, and the ability to control populations faster than baiting systems—all in a low-dose, virtually odorless formulation. Phantom can be used as a soil drench, wall foam or as a general use spray as desired.

Contents - (1) 21 oz bottle makes 28 gallons of 1.25% solution for termites or 7 gallons of general use spray for cockroaches and ants.

General Pest Control Indoors
Applications should be made to breeding areas, nesting site, hiding places, runways, and other places where pests are found or likely to infest. For use with only low-pressure directed spray application equipment.

Cockroaches: Phantom is effective against American, Asian, brownbanded, German, Oriental, smokybrown, and other cockroach species.

Use a 0.5% dilution. Apply dilution as a coarse. low pressure spot or crack and crevice spray to areas where these pests normally inhabit or are likely to infest.

Limited spot treatment of Phantom dilution can be made to surfaces beneath cabinets, spaces between equipment or expansion joints, surfaces behind sinks, lockers, water pipes, cabinets, or other areas where cockroaches may hide. Reapply, if needed, every 4 weeks or more.

Ants: Phantom is highly effective against household and structure-invading ants, including the following species: acrobat ants, Argentine Ants, Carpenter Ants, odorous house ants, pavement ants, Pharaoh's ants, pyramid ants, and other species.

Apply crack and crevice or spot treatments of a 0.5% dilution to areas of known or suspected ant activity. Where possible, apply Phantom directly to ant nest(s) or nesting site(s) or ant-infested wood or structual voids. Reapply, if needed, every 4 weeks or more.

Bug WarBy Lee on May 4, 2010All crawlers scattered and was not seen by that night. None seen next day and I am still looking without finding any insects crawling. Great stuff!!!!!

Phantom Termiticide/InsecticideBy Williams on June 1, 2010Great Product, works well on ridding bed bugs. This product is not messy and leaves not build up or residue.

Phantom Termiticide/ InsecticideBy Geoff on June 10, 2010I have used this product every spring for a number of years; simply spray around the outside foundation of the house and we are ant and insect free for the entire season. A trick we learned from one of the expensive exterminators we hired to get rid of carpenter ants. Now we do it ourselves and save big $$.

Much Better than expected!By Don on July 12, 2010This stuff does not leave a lingering smell, it atomizes into a mist easily or can be shot in a stream. It took care of the wasps building nests under my deck, and any place I sprayed became off-limits to new wasp construction. Using a mist - it took care of the fleas in the garage from the dogs. Fireants no longer have a free lunch in the dog bowls, and they no longer have any interest in nesting near the trash bin outside. It works great in the concentration specified on the label, and having the premeasuring compartment makes mixing the right amount a cinch!

Effective & EfficientBy Jon on June 30, 2010Odorless, does not kill or brown out vegetation. Sprayed product in palm trees and on vegetation, where ants were concentrated. Kills insects on contact and has lasting effect on keeping them away afterwards. I had major crazy ant problem, tried many approaches and Phantom was the only thing that worked.

Great Product, Lasts a long time.By Paul on August 4, 2010I use this product around commercials storage areas and this stuff is still effective after 90 days. Works well on spiders & roaches and I don't have to spray as often

2 of 2 people found this review helpful: Phantom TermiticideBy Willard on July 26, 2010We have had an opportunity to use the product, and have found it to be very effective so far. We were being bombarded by carpenter ants, and the little black ants but after treating with Phantom termiticide we seen them no more. Also in the past we used the Demand CS against an invasion of German Roaches and it was also very effective. I would like to say your products have been 100% effective. Thank you very much. Willard

So far, so good?By ab on August 16, 2010Haven't seen as many roaches...and other creepy crawlies in the house, but i think i'll reserve judgement for another few months

Phantom Seems To Work WellBy Sabrina on September 9, 2010I'm only giving Phantom a 4 since we just applied it about 2 weeks ago. Nonetheless, since then, we've had no ants. Applied in kitchen and all along outside border of our home. Thus far, seems to be working!

Q Is there a restricted entry interval following an application of Phantom Insecticide for cockroaches? Is there a restricted entry interval following an application of Phantom for cockroaches, and is there any personal protective equipment required for such re-entry?

A Phantom is an odorless and very safe liquid insecticide. There is no requirement to wear anything special upon re-entry. You should always wear gloves when applying any pesticide, but unless you are in a completely closed rooom with no ventilation, you do not need a respirator. You should allow enough time for the product to dry and then it is perfectly fine to enter back into the space with children and pets. Usually it takes 30 - 45 minutes for the product to dry thoroughly. Always read the product label for full treatment instructions.

Q How much of the Phantom Insecticide do you add to a gallon of water?

A Depending on what kind of pest you are treating and how bad the problem is determines how much Phantom you should use in each gallon of water. You can mix either .75 ounces per gallon of water for normal infestations, and up to 1.50 ounces for heavy infestations.

Q Is Phantom oil soluble? Is Phantom oil soluble? I want to apply the solution with an oil base to help it adhere to the house foundation through rainy or moist seasons.

A After speaking with BASF they suggested that you should not mix Phantom Termiticide/Insecticide with an oil only. Not only will oil kill any plant life, grass, etc around your foundation, but Phantom is a water soluable solution and would not adhere or spray correctly if mixed with oil. They did say that you can mix the Phantom with a "spreader sticker" which is an adjuvant. We do carry Eco-Adjuvant which you can mix with the Phantom and water.

Q Is Phantom Insecticide safe around kids and babies?

A Yes, Phantom is safe while kids/babies and pets are in the house. Phantom is only strong enough to kill small insects. It is a good idea to keep pets and children outside or in another room while treating and then allow about 30 minutes for the products to dry. Once dry it is perfectly safe for children and pets to re-enter the living space. Of course you should always store the products just like any other cleaning chemicals, out of reach of children and pets.

Q How effective is Phantom Insecticide for bed bug control?I am experiencing a problem with bed bugs and recently had my apartment treated with Phantom. The technician treated not only cracks and floorboards, etc, but sprayed my walls as well. I'm reading the info on this website which says only to treat seams, not walls. Is treating the walls safe and effective? How many treatments will i need? Apartment was sprayed today and I have seen several live bed bugs and have felt several bites. Shouldn't it kill them immediately?

A Phantom is quickly becoming the new preferred treatment for bed bugs. It leaves a long term residual that has shown to kill bed bugs long after you initially treat. However, it is not an immediate kill. When a bed bug crosses over an area that has been treated with Phantom it picks up the product on its body, but it can take hours to days to kill the bed bug. This is why you will still see bed bugs and still may get bitten, but the bed bug will die. Phantom is very popular now because bed bugs build up resistance easily to certain products and Phantom is a product that they have not shown resistance to yet. Any good company should treat every two weeks at least twice. It could take more than two treatments depending on the severity of the situation. I cannot comment on the companies interpretation of the instructions, but treating cracks and crevices, baseboards, and other areas will ensure that when the bed bugs come out of hiding that they will cross a treated barrier. You should consider our bed bug treatment kits. They have a very high success rate and will save you lots of money over hiring another exterminator if they are not successful.

Q How much Phantom Insecticide do I mix per gallon for roach control?I am regular customer of yours. I am very pleased with Phantom. However in the manual it states that the dilution for roaches should be 3oz per gal. I am a little concerned as you mentioned 1.5 oz per gal?

A The amount of 1.5 oz per gallons of water more pertains if you are using Phantom for a termite treatment. You should use 3 oz per gallon of water when applying for roaches or other general pest control insects. You can use as little as .75 ounces per gallon, but if you are treating a new infestation or have not treated in a while, i would follow the label instructions of 3 ounces per gallon.

Q I have an orange tree that is infested with ants. Is phantom insecticide safe to use?

A Phantom is not labeled to be applied directly to fruit bearing trees. We would suggest Advance 375A Granular Bait and sprinkle around the base of the tree. The ants should take this product back to the nest where it can be fed to the queen and eliminiate the colony.

Q Is Phantom Insecticide safe around birds? We have a bird, a White-capped pionus. It is a type of a small parrot. He walks around on the floor a lot. Is it safe for him after the application of Phantom after the product has dried?

A Yes, it is safe for the bird to walk around after the Phantom has dried. We did call the manufacturer to confirm this and they said there should be no issues as long as the surfaces are in fact dry. Typically it should only take about 30 minutes to dry but you may want to wait 1 hour just to make sure.

Q Can Phantom Insecticide be used for spiders?

A Yes, Phantom is labeled for spiders and can be used for them. On the inside Phantom is only labeled as a crack and crevice treatment, so you should only apply it in corners of rooms, underneath appliances, and other areas that spiders may harbor. If you do not have small children or pets, glueboards are a good tool to monitor spider activity in the home.

Q Is Phantom harmful to pets and or humans in anyway at all?

A When used as directed Phantom is a very safe product, only containing enough of the active ingredient to kill insects, not enough to harm mammals. As with any chemical, it important to follow all label instructions and precautions and keep the product out of reach of children and pets. We recommend that you read through the product label and the MSDS to learn all safety precautions and instructions.

Q Can Phantom be used inside a drilled hole in a basement concrete floor for termites?

A Yes, Phantom is labled for termite control and can be used inside drill holes with no problems.

Q Should i use Phantom or Cyonara for bed bugs control? If using phantom for bed bugs do i still need to spray an IGR?

A Phantom is becoming more and more a good choice for bed bug control. Studies are showing great results with Phantom. Although we still do have Cyonara in all of our bed bug kits, they may soon have Phantom instead. You should still use Gentrol IGR with the Phantom or Cyonara.

Q Where can Phantom be sprayed? Can Phantom be applied to dresser drawers ,wood bed-frames and the perimeter of the room where carpet meets the wall? The label only has instructions mostly for termites.

A The Phantom label states that you can spray the product in or onto nesting sites, breeding areas, hiding places, runways and other places where the pests are known to infest. The label also states that you can use Phantom on the tufts, seams and folds of mattresses, making it very useful for bedbug treatments. You should try to keep applications to small spots and cracks and crevices around the room, do not spray over entire surfaces where people come in frequent contact. This information can be found on pages 9-11 of the Phantom product label.

Q What is the recommended dosage % of Phantom for termite control ?

A In most cases you will use a 1.25% solution (.75 of an ounce per gallon of water) of Phantom for termite control.

Q How much of the Phantom Insecticide i should add to a gallon of water for bedbugs?I am planning to buy some of it to treat my bed bug issues. How much of the Phantom Insecticide Should I add to a gallon of water? I am planning to also buy Pronto Plus insecticide to spray the mattress and beds. Can I use Phantom for all?

A Phantom can be used only on the tufts, seams and folds of mattresses, do not spray the entire surface. Use 3 fl oz of Phantom per gallon of water to treat for bedbugs. Phantom does not kill the bedbugs right away, it can take up to two weeks for bugs to actually die after contacting the treated area. We do recommend using other products such asPronto Plus in combination with the Phantom so you will have both a fast knockdown and a long lasting residual.
